Dark Horse has become a bit of a family affair. Not in the sense that we feel like our firm feels like family (although it does!), but rather there are actual family members in the firm. Such is the case of AnnMarie Connelly, sister of our very own Michael Connelly. If you’re suspecting nepotism is at play, then you haven’t met AnnMarie. Educated, hard-working and well-rounded are a few of the qualities she brings to Dark Horse and, specifically, to Michael’s practice.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Policy & Management from Providence College and is currently working towards her Master’s in Accounting at UMass Amherst. She worked in human resources in the healthcare industry for four years, prior to mixing it up and transitioning into public accounting, where she’s been for the last 3 years. Much like the dark horse, the path that led to the destination is not well known or understood. And, like the dark horse that wins the race, their success makes sense upon further investigation.
When not sharpening her skills in accounting and serving small businesses, AnnMarie (like many Dark Horse CPAs) will not be found inside behind a computer. Instead, she’ll be found enjoying nature, jogging through it, or exploring it on a cruise. And, she’d prefer to do all of this with family…it is a family affair after all.
