About
Family, community and sports are the Big Three for Erik Hegstad. Oh, and I suppose there's also the accounting & tax piece. Erik brings to Dark Horse 10 years of experience as a CPA serving small businesses and individuals locally and nationwide. Unlike many accountants, he really enjoys the relationship aspect of the business. In other words, he is the prototype Dark Horse CPA.
A Northern Colorado native, Erik is a die-hard Broncos fan, whom he was quick to point out are 3-time World Champions. Always the optimist, he believes they will return to their former glory soon. He played baseball for Northern Colorado, where he earned his accounting degree. On any given Saturday morning, you can catch him on the driving range training the next Tiger Woods (otherwise known as his 3-year-old son, Maximus). Later that day, he'd probably be found on the golf course so long as he got his boss's approval (otherwise known as his wife, Stephanie). Rounding out the family is his one-year-old daughter, Tatum and four dogs (yes, this is a common theme among Dark Horse CPAs). When the weather prohibits golf, he's usually blowing off steam on the Peloton. Between all of this, he serves on the board of two organizations, NOCO Unify and CHAMP (Character in Athletics, Make it a Priority).
Please welcome Erik Hegstad, CPA, Great Guy.
