About
Detroit, Michigan, may not seem like a natural landing spot for someone from Bogota, Colombia. Yet, this is where Olga found herself at the age of four after her family emigrated from Colombia. Later, she would move to Sterling Heights, Michigan, where she grew up, before relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida, where she lives to this day. As you might guess, she is fully bilingual, a valuable attribute as a Floridian.
With this international background and a desire to travel the world, she studied international business administration during her undergrad years in pursuit of incorporating her three passions in life into a viable career: business, relationships, and travel. Regarding the latter, she has traveled throughout North America, Central America, Europe, the Pacific Rim, and Turkey meeting many wonderful people and learning about their cultures along the way.
One of Olga’s main purposes in life is to, as she describes it, “instill confidence in people and help them become the best version of themselves,” while she also strives to be her best self. Her career has been oriented around this purpose through various positions in various professional service companies, combining hard technical skills with soft people skills. She finds her current position at Dark Horse, supporting Mary Piece’s practice, to be a great platform to live out her purpose.
Outside of work, you’ll find Olga on the road (possibly on a motorcycle with her husband), meeting diverse people, dancing, listening to music, going to concerts, and reading. If it involves people or culture, you have her attention!
