Smilin' at everybody she sees... everyone knows it's Wendy. While a borrowed lyric from The Association that is actually about wind ("Windy"), such a statement could not be more true about our own Wendy Holloway. Hers is a smile rooted in her faith and displayed in her life's many loves, including two teenage daughters, three dogs, two rabbits, her local church community, reading historical novels and watching movies based on historical events. Wendy also loves change, innovation and disruption. The fact that she could be at the forefront of disruption in public accounting while also tending to the people and activities she loves made Dark Horse a natural fit for her.
Wendy earned her bachelor's in accounting from Kennesaw State University and her masters from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She began her career in estate and trust taxation and administration at a mid-sized bank, working with multigenerational families to steward their assets (and play counselor from time to time!). She then moved her talents to a public accounting firm, where she gained extensive experience in accounting and tax for small businesses and individuals. She then spent the next decade building her own firm, working as a controller for a construction company and teaching as an adjunct professor at Brenau University. So, it is no stretch to say that Wendy brings a lot of experiences to Dark Horse that her clients and peers will benefit from immensely.
When she's not serving her accounting and tax clients, you might spot her traveling the world by herself. This is quite possibly her ultimate expression of freedom to be accountable to no one but herself, allowing her to be whimsical and open to where the journey takes her. When not traveling, she finds comfort and stability in her property in the North Georgia mountains, where she's lived for over 40 years. In many ways, Wendy has the best of both worlds in all areas of her life.
This was a seamless process which I appreciate. I was fully informed throughout the process. The firms process utilizing technology was great, because I could review everything online in comfort of my home. Wendy Holloway was excellent and guided me through the process effortlessly. Top notch operation.
