My favorite part of accounting is working with individuals to accomplish their company's goals. I became an accountant because I met several individuals who had a lot of awesome career opportunities that started with accounting. Some of the opportunities I've really enjoyed as an accountant have been:

Being a financial manager for the State of Utah, focused completely on using funds to provide the best opportunities for the State's refugee's and disabled veterans.
Being involved at UVU not only as a student, but also as an auditor with the goal of bettering the schools' operations.
Working with several medical and dental practices, as well as companies in all sorts of industries.

On the home front, I am currently living in Lehi, UT with my wife and our two dogs. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing games, watching movies, eating great food, and sports. I'm a huge NBA fan and root for the Detroit Pistons, who have been awful for the past 20 years...
