EDUCATION

Climb a mountain not so the world can see you, but so you can see the world.
Zachary Stoner is a Tampa/Vail-based accountant and software developer with a background bridging financial expertise and modern technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida's Lynn Peppinger School of Accountancy and brings a combination of domain knowledge and technical depth to every project he touches.
Zachary currently serves as Technical Product Owner at Dark Horse CPAs, where he previously spent two years as a Full-Stack Software Developer, architecting micro-service infrastructure for custom AI workflows and RAG models using LangChain and Azure. He bootstrapped the full-stack development of an internal SaaS platform — built on React, Node.js, and MSSQL/Postgres — that centralized client management and automated deliverable generation across the firm's entire technology stack.
His work sits at the intersection of accounting and innovation. As a former officer and lifetime member of Beta Alpha Psi at USF, Zachary developed BAP-BOT, an AI-powered chatbot integrated into USF's learning management system that earned 2nd place at the Beta Alpha Psi National Meeting for Innovation in Accounting. His approach to building tools is practical, scalable, and grounded in real-world accounting workflows.
Outside of work, Zachary volunteers with the Tampa Museum of Fine Art, Eagle County Climber's Coalition, and is a member of the Vail Chess Club.
