Nicole believes she is on her fourth iteration of life. Exactly how many iterations remain, of course, is unknown. For someone with resilience and dedication to constant growth, such is to be expected. In her first iteration, she was the eldest of four siblings, where she learned to be both responsible and protective while being a dedicated student. In her second iteration, she joined the United States Air Force directly out of high school. In her third iteration, she got married, graduated, and began her career and family (two twin daughters!). Throughout these iterations, she always found time for adventures from travel to concerts to time at the beach.
This fourth iteration is a rebirth of sorts, beginning with the end of a marriage and a decade-long job. Nicole joined Dark Horse with a renewed perspective on what she was searching for, and what was important, for her in life.
Nicole earned undergrad and graduate degrees from the University of West Florida and a CPA license from the state of Florida in 2012. She worked at a regional public accounting firm for a decade prior to joining Dark Horse.
Outside of her work in public accounting, Nicole enjoys exploring the areas surrounding her home in the panhandle of Florida, as well as spending time with her daughters, dogs and cats going to various parks around town and doing movie nights with the requisite amount of popcorn one would need. You might also find her playing trivia at a bar at night or a brunch on a Sunday morning. She also enjoys some “me” time too…watching TV (real crime and documentaries) to relieve the day’s stresses, hiking, and crossword puzzles.
