Ruth obtained her degree in Accounting from Lyceum of the Philippines University. Her exceptional academic performance led her to graduate with Latin honors. After graduation, Ruth joined the public accounting firm Punongbayan & Araullo, which is associated with Grant Thornton Philippines. For five years, Ruth handled a wide range of accounting processes, primarily utilizing accounting software and Excel.
In 2022, Ruth's life took a new turn when she got married. Recognizing the importance of maintaining a work-life balance, she decided to leave her office job in search of a work-from-home opportunity. This decision led her to Dark Horse CPAs. Working from home brought significant changes to Ruth's life; she no longer had to deal with traffic, cut down on processed food intake, and most importantly, had more quality time to spend with her loved ones.
Outside her professional life, Ruth is a dedicated wife, a passionate traveler, and a loving pet-mom. She relishes exploring new places, trying out new things, and sampling various cuisines. Ruth's motto is to work hard so she can travel even harder.
Interestingly, Ruth's husband is also an accountant. However, they keep their home a debit-and-credit-free zone, choosing not to discuss accounting matters outside of work. The couple is rarely home during weekends as they are usually out on a trip, making the most of their leisure time.
