Marcus Steinfeld is tenacious. He knows who he wants to work with and around. So, it’s probably unsurprising that once he set his sights on becoming a Dark Horse, he found his way into the firm. Marcus is known for his non-accountant tendencies of building strong relationships with clients. Sometimes those relationships become friendships, but they always become value-added partnerships.
Marcus grew up in a small town in Montana, where he discovered his passion for accounting during high school. As might be expected, this lead to him earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Brigham Young University – Idaho. Since then, he’s worked in the areas of audit, payroll and tax; the latter where his focus currently resides. In fact, he’s currently working on his Masters in Taxation from Western Governors University.
Marcus decided to settle in another small town, albeit a little flatter than his hometown in Montana. He’s been surprised by the beauty of the Midwest, specifically in around his home of Hastings, Nebraska. So, when he’s not wearing out his 10-key, you can find him hiking, traveling and adventuring with his family, which includes his wife, CC, and their three daughters. And, when not exploring with the fam, he enjoys refereeing football and basketball…so it’s fair to say he’s developed some thick skin over the years!
